I am an Environmental Scientist with an M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University and a robust background in disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, and geospatial analysis. My career is dedicated to applied research, leveraging tools like GIS, remote sensing, and statistical modeling to address pressing environmental challenges in the Himalayan region.

Currently, as a Research Officer at the Centre of Research for Environment, Energy and Water (CREEW), I lead and coordinate multidisciplinary projects. My work focuses on developing resilient frameworks for watershed management, conducting multi-hazard risk assessments, and analyzing the impacts of climate change on communities and businesses. I have a proven track record in the entire project lifecycle—from proposal development and field methodology design to data analysis, report writing, and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals.

My key areas of expertise include:

  • Project Leadership: Leading projects such as the "Integrated Multi-Hazard Assessment for Climate-Resilient Watershed Management" and coordinating international collaborations with partners like IWMI, IGES Japan, and APN.
  • Research & Analysis: Specializing in landslide susceptibility, water quality assessment, climate vulnerability, and GHG emission inventories.
  • Capacity Building: Developing curricula and serving as a lead instructor for training programs on climate change adaptation for businesses and technical workshops on GIS and landslide mapping for professionals and students.
  • Scientific Communication: Authoring multiple research papers in international journals and handbooks for undergraduate students, demonstrating a commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.
